| General Anaesthetists and I.V. Sedation
The Maunu Anaesthetic Group works with Dr Stallworthy to provide the
following services to its clients:
• General anaesthesia for both adults and children
• Sedation procedures
• Anaesthetic consultation and counselling
The aim is to provide a safe and efficient service with up to date
equipment and highly qualified personnel.
Anaesthetic services are provided by Dr Philippa White M.B.Ch.B.FRCA, a
specialist anaesthetist who has practiced for 20yrs in Whangarei and has
a special interest in day-case anaesthesia, anaesthesia for children and
anaesthesia for dental procedures. Her anaesthetic assistant is Karen
Absil-Cousins, a fully trained anaesthetic technician who also holds a
nursing qualification. Karen is a resuscitation expert, and is also an
instructor for the St Johns Ambulance resuscitation course.
Philippa and Karen have a strong focus on teamwork and consultation with
their professional colleagues, which has resulted in a very successful
collaboration over the last 15 years. |
